Notice that your temps are throttling.... so it's working, it's just not optimal as your CPU is overheating even just on one run. Frequency is up at 5Ghz too which is what it should do.

The system is running at full chat now though. You're a little down in physics scores but that's to be expected due to the thermal throttling.

If you try your original project now you should notice a difference in it all.

Dear Scott,

I am feeling happy now, Because since two days I was little bit tense and nervous. Yes, when I performed benchmark, I realized it worked the same way how it worked when I performed my project for the first time on this laptop. It worked with all its speed and fans. And the CPU utilization upto 83% is fine and considerable ?? or it should go beyond 83% ??

kind regards

Forget the 83% side of it. Firestrike is mostly single core so you won't use all the cores at full chat for the whole time. It's to be expected.

All cores have been used at 100% and all cores have hit 5Ghz..... that shows it's working.

I have no idea about your software and the 83% utilisation, hence why I recommended Firestrike as that's a very well known base :)

Dear Scott,

Then, it's very nice. Tomorrow I will work on my project and will see. I hope it will work. If it doesn't, then I will talk to the software vendor about this software problem. But I am convinced with you that there is no problem with processor and also the results of benchmark are saying.
Thank you very much to you, Spydertracks for the time, efforts, cooperation with me.

Kind regards 😊

Regarding your CFD application, just be aware that it's not always the case that an application can use 100% CPU.

For any logical processor to achieve 100% usage then every single bit of program code and every single bit of data MUST already be in RAM (or in registers within the CPU).

Good program design and efficient hardware does help to get close to that, but there will always be some data that has to be read from SSD/HDD and the thread in control will be suspended whilst that takes place and unable to consume CPU cycles.

In addition, Windows manages threads waiting for a logical processor in ways that ensure that all threads get CPU time even if, on odd occasions, a lower priority thread has to be dispatched ahead of a higher priority one.

What a this means is that it's rare to see 100% CPU usage on any system, unless its underpowered. Even a CPU intensive application like yours will rarely be able, or permitted, to use 100% of the CPU for very long. If the application maxes out at (say) 83% CPU use then that's because either the way the program is coded or other features of your hardware are preventing full use of the CPU. That's actually quite normal.

Dear Ubuysa,

I totally agree your line '''Even a CPU intensive application like yours will rarely be able, or permitted, to use 100% of the CPU for very long. Since CFD softwares runs continously for long hours, depends how we mesh and discretize the objects for fine mesh which definitely requires high computing time and sometimes software also adjust its solving capacity with regards to processor we are using. So, it makes sense.

Thank you for your valuable comment as well. I am happy with the benchmark results.

But, I need one more help regarding sound blaster pro sound settings. It seems I lost the sound settings which were quite high and loud for Sound blaster pro after I installed fresh Windows 10, Can anyone of you please help me in sound settings.

Kind regards

Have you installed Sound Blaster? You'll need to do that after a reinstall.

Dear Spydertracks,

Yes, I have installed it. :) But I dont know how to utilize it fully to run and make my laptop a home theatre sound.

In the Creative Folder you should see Sound Blaster Speaker Set Up
Something like this. There you can go through and listen and set to the levels you need.

Dear Linda,

This is the Sound Blaster pro I have. But I don't see Creative folder in C drive, Program files. Actually, when I installed fresh Windows, Sound Blaster Pro automatically got installed, I didn't install it personally. Where can I find this creative folder ?? Is this software available in the DVD of drivers provided by PCS ?

You need to install it from Clevo where the rest of your drivers are.

That is the windows store creative, which is entirely different.

It's not a program, it's a driver so will show in the task bar.

So my Sound Blaster is different to yours I had the dedicated sound card and an installation disc in my pcspecialist welcome pack
but have a look in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Creative as this is where all my options and exe files are perhaps yours might be there also.
