Can the delivery not ask for a time in which the delivery is at the door? I won't be in until 4pm so I was wondering. It has been dispatched now so is this too late anyway?

Well if it's already been dispatched I suspect it's too late now anyways.
And I thought delivery notes were basically just for instructions to find your place if its not simple, I wouldn't have though delivery time slot preferences would be adhered too, though I could be wrong (but I'm not betting on it).

Indeed as Rakk says, once out for delivery, unless you contact DPD direct, I am pretty sure nothing can change.
In terms of when ordering, I also doubt a specific time would be allowed through notes, as it would likely have to be a paid service, like Sat delivery.
