I have just taken delivery of a PCScomputer which was supposed to have raid 1 mirrored volume - on 2 identical hard drives.
Neither drive shows up in win7 explorer. In disk man one of the drives is present - as disk 1 - it has no drive letter but correct capacity (1863.0 GB). Also present are disk 0(C) - ssd boot drive and disk 2(E) - removable drive.
In the bios there are 4 drives - disk o, disk 1, disk 2 and disk 3 - this last the other raid drive missing from disk man.
My questions are, can i just assign a drive letter to disk 1 in disk man? Why wasn't a drive letter assigned by PCS? If disk man only shows 1 of the mirrored drives how do i know if one has failed?
