RAM at 667Mhz

Hi

I just received my new PC and decided to run 3D Mark 11 on it. In the results section it lists my PC specs and lists my 16Gb of RAM running at 667Mhz.

Is that normal? Its 1600Mhz RAM, 2 x 8 modules.

Is there another way I can test it?

Thanks.

As Tom said the readings from 3DMark are inaccurate, particularly of the memory frequency.

Even with more accurate tools such as CPU-Z and Task Manager (on Windows 8) you will need to double the value to get your actual figure (so if shown as 800MHz x2 = 1600MHz).

Ok cool. I checked the Bios and XMP was already selected and it looks liek the RAM is at 1600Mhz as expected. 3D Mark just through me off.

Thanks for the quick replies.

A little OT I know but Task Manager on my Windows 8 Pro system shows my RAM speed correctly at 1600MHz. :)
