RAM overclocking increases FPS?

Hi guys I'm new to the forums and I'm not that technical. I was wondering if RAM increases FPS. I researched it for a while and got over this article: http://gaming2016.com/can-ram-improve-fps/
The article says that Ram doesn't actually increase FPS and that RAM is actually just needed to run the different applications. I was just about to buy 64 GB of hardcore gaming RAM to increase my FPS, until I read that article som friend sent me. Is it really true that RAM doesn't increase FPS or?
-sorry for my English.

The amount of RAM certainly isn't going to increase FPS. Most games don't even max out 8Gb RAM currently so 16GB will be more than enough. You probably will not notice any visible increase in FPS from the RAM speed but I may be wrong.

RAM speeds above 1600 will make no difference to frame rates i believe.
