It looks like they’ve finally added the option of 32GB 3600MHz on the builder! Wahey!

Well spotted. Really good news.

That being said.... I'm reasonably well versed in RAM latency..... 3200Mhz C16 is exactly the same as 3600Mhz C18. I've not seen anything faster than 3600 C18 so I don't think there's any real world benefit.

That being said.... purely for the numbers (and the fact that I would OC the CAS) I would definitely be going down the 3600Mhz route.

Interestingly (or not) RAM is VERY much like CPU binning. The way it's handled now with the XMP profiles is simply a binning process with the chips that go onto the RAM sticks. They are all created fairly equal but some end up turning out better than others.

We love you Ukraine
They likely included it as they were getting fed up of the requests for it (pretty sure every one of those requests came from this forum :ROFLMAO:)...now we just need them to add in 2x16 instead of 4x8 and we can stop bothering them ;)
I actually emailed customer services a few weeks ago as sales refused to up 3600MHz to 32Gb for one Audio user saying it wasn't possible even though they'd done it for plenty of others. Mustafa is an absolute legend, he's been instrumental in getting a lot of issues resolved for us:

Hey,

I am sorry for the delay in replying to your message, unfortunately, they have confirmed the wrong information, we can manually add more RAM. I will send a message internally, it seems the customer has decided what RAM they would like, so thank you for assistance. If I can assist you any further then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Many Thanks,

Hi Mustafa

With regards to Ryzen builds on the Ryzen Extreme configurator, it’s not available on the configurator to spec any more than 16Gb RAM of 3600MHz.

Now with regards to audio workstations, you basically HAVE to have 3600MHz RAM to work best with DAWS.

We have a user here who is hoping to fit 32Gb 3600MHz RAM which has been done countless times before for people when they’ve phoned up to enquire, but now customer services are saying it’s not possible.

I’m wondering if there’s anything you can do?

3600MHz RAM definitely works fine with this configuration as I have it myself.

As always, appreciate any help you’re able to give,

Wishing you all the best
