Gentlemen, tell me what mistakes I am making / what tricks I am missing.

This is for game development and high-end rendering, so I need everything. Max SSD for a big project. Max GPU for rendering. Max CPU for compiling. Max RAM because I have several apps open at once sometimes.

I tried to add network cards and other things but was told the motherboard had no space for them. Then I also couldn't upgrade the motherboard.

Budget is not an issue so is there a better configuration possible on the site that is more powerful?

I'm not sure Intel CPUs are well-regarded on here (or in general) and most of us would suggest an AMD Threadripper / Threadripper Pro for heavy-duty commercial work.

Plus the 64-core 7985WX AMD CPU is about 80% more powerful than the 56-core W9-3495X Intel (the equivalent in performance in Blender would be the 32-core 7975WX)...

Here's the AMD equivalent, but I'm not sure whether you need to spend that extra £400-500 on the extra ethernet card as the motherboard has 2x10gb ports built in.
