Real Users' Benchmarks - Rank of PCS Laptops

Hey folks, Merry Christmas.
I did a 3DMark test today with just a tweak to TGP and Dynamic Boost. A decent score, but I see there are better scores out there for lower spec cards. Impressive! Anyway, here is my score. Thanks for any feedback :)

What were the tweaks to TGP and DB

Thanks @barlew I think the CPU is being throttled due to the temps on the CPU reaching 96C at stock, without overclock.... I may have to delve inside and perhaps re-paste with some grizzly.....did not expect to have to so soon lol....

Last rank update of 2021! Happy new year everyone!

In case you haven't noticed and are interested in more laptop benchmarks, I've created a new thread for comparison between RAM speeds, frequencies, ranks and banks. Feel free to post your results here:

You also need to notice that if I'm not wrong, you're the first user to post benchmarks using the 11800H CPU, so it is not a direct comparison. Even though yours is one generation newer than the 10875H found on other benchmarks, it is still only able to boost until 4.6Ghz while the 10875H should go up to 5.1Ghz. Not sure about the overall performance difference between them though, as clocks are important but other factors might also have an impact.

I think you may find that your 11800H is performing as intended. As @FerrariVie pointed out if you compare it to the 10875H it is sat pretty much where I would expect.

Run a stress test in Prime95 and see what your temps are doing.

NEW Benches run for new RAM going from 2133MT/s to 2933MT/s which is running at 2666MT/s due to no XMP option in bios.

All done with same offsets and max fan. Will do stock later tonight.
These are some really good scores to be honest :) I`d guess that the bump in memory speed and size improved performance quite a bit also .

If you think they are some good numbers i have some new ones to show with Curve and lower ram offsets.

Port Royale: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/70533496

Firestrike: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/70533370

All with Max fan enabled, High Performance Mode enable and High Power on Windows power profiles Intel TAU set to 128 via Intel XTU.

The others was to see how far i could push the core and log the voltage used so i could make a curve for the whole thing.

Edit: For comparison of going from 1x4GB 2133MT/s, 2x8GB 21333MT/s, 4x 8GB 2133 to 2x 16GB 2933 MT/s @ 2666MT/s with no TAU or GPU Adjustments.

Firestrike: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/25470606 (1x 4GB 2133MT/s)
Firestrike: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/25471210 (2x 8GB 2133MT/s)
Firestrike: https://www.3dmark.com/fs/26006641 (4x 8GB 2133MT/s)

Firestirke: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/71009824 (2x 16GB 2933MT/s)

Updated to add the Firestrike results of a stock run with 2933MT/s ram.

Unfortunately, I have to top up my wallet, in order to take my notebook to the next level. For now, I am happy with this configuration!!! :)

I wasn't making fun of your configuration. You have an extremely powerful DTR and that is an excellent Firestrike score. I am just happy that my little laptop can keep up with it.

Ran two tests, one with the basic gaming mode selected that was preloaded: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/25685565

3DMark Score - 9846
Graphics Score - 10010
CPU Score - 9014
Graphics Test 1 - 67.03 fps
Graphics Test 2 - 56.08 fps
CPU Test - 30.28 fps

With some settings tweaked in control centre/turbo mode: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/25685760

3DMark Score - 10070
Graphics Score - 10504
CPU Score - 8162
Graphics Test 1 - 70.3 fps
Graphics Test 2 - 58.88 fps
CPU Test - 27.42 fps

Looking at some of the other scores with similar setup on the Ionico and they have almost double this! Think I need to calibrate the laptop correctly.

The reason the other Ionicos in the benchmark are double your score is because you have ran the wrong test. You need to run Firestrike not Time Spy

That'll do it!

Results from the right test: Dynamic boost is on to 15w. Everything else is default settings. http://www.3dmark.com/fs/27025837
3DMark Score - 21733
Graphics Score - 27331
Physics Score - 21611
Combined Score - 8598
Graphics Test 1 - 126.58 fps
Graphics Test 2 -111.98 fps
Physics Test - 68.61 fps
Combined Test - 39.99 fps

One thing I did notice was the ram speed - the RAM I have is supposed to be 3200mhz on each stick, but they both are opperating at 1592mhz. Can dual RAM only opperate at that combined speed or something? Or does it completely depend on what I am doing with the laptop?

Would you mind making the tests on the RAM benchmark thread (below) so that we could try to double-check your frequency? 3dMark usually reports the total frequency (not half), so might be worth having a look on other tools as well.

I'll update the rank here later today.
