i am really thinking of buying this spec, it is a gaming rig spec which i know will be great for gaming as i have been told by many and after alot of chopping and changing i have finally come to this, would anyone care to comment on it and on its gaming potential? thanks

Looks like it will have no problems for gaming for quite some time, it should eat through anything with ease currently :)

Only thing I would say though is do you need 16GB of RAM, it may be a tad overkill :)

i agree about the RAM but money isn't an issue there so i thought i might aswell get 16 over 8, i thought why not and i want to be completely future proof, would it affect the performance in any way because it is bit over the top with the RAM? also i did go for the i5 2500 processor until recently because i have been told by many that there won't be much difference in gaming between the i7 and i5 but as money wasn't an issue there either i decided to go with the i7, which was 60 pounds more, do you think its worth it? overall this is a great gaming machine yes? will it be future proof? will it last me for years to come with new games and max settings on the top quality games out there? many thanks

The quick answer is yes it will. And when it starts to struggle all you will need to do is put another 680 in there in SLI. :)
