Recoil graphics performance

Looking for some pre purchase advice regarding the graphics performance of the RTX 4060, 4070, 4080 and 4090. Is the increase in performance of the 4080 and 4090 worth the extra cost? as of now the 4090 for instance is £1000 more than the base 4060.

Any help and recommendations from people who own the laptops will be appreciated.

Realise this will be dependent on the power usage and cooling of the chassis, so definitely get feedback from owners too, but just to give a rough estimation of performance brackets.

There’s benchmarks here, this is for the mobile 4090 but has links to the lower GPUs also

The 4080 is a ginormous boost in performance, I would say it’s probably the best value card.

The 4090 is still quite a significant step up, but not as much as the 4080 is in the stack

Should add as well, if you’re considering on of the Recoils, you pretty much need to factor in the watercooler as a required option to get available performance. Without it it will thermal throttle and reduce performance.

With a laptop gpu, you want the most powerful as you can afford as you can’t upgrade it and it will be the first component to become a bottleneck.

But I’d say the 4080 is probably the best price vs performance option, especially at 1440p which a lot of laptops have now moved to.
