My Own w10 install, but When arrived with the pcspecialist W10 they use for testing the gaming center power settings were the same

Their testing windows wouldn’t have been fully configured. I’m not sure that yours is either if you can’t adjust power management settings.

Do you install the chipset drivers first of all once you’d installed windows?

And what version of win10 are you on?

You need to switch to office mode (press the physical button next to the power on button on the laptop). Then you can select advanced and power mode.

Mine had a full install but not activated, that's how they provide them if you don't order windows with it

The physical button on laptop on the left of the power button is only enabling/disabling turbo fan

Interesting difference then. I've seen reviews where it says that's the case too, I was surprised when mine acted as an office mode (low power) switch, it triggers the change of function in gaming center

Can you get to that screen at all?

Maybe I should try another w10 clean install but I don't think it will make any difference

That's one difference to mine, I just activated the Win10 install they provided with it, rather than reformatting.

I would suggest that @roakes has a later version of the management software.

Would you be willing to send a copy of your installer to the OP?

That's really weird. The management software has to have all the underlying drivers configured correctly to work as it's linked into almost every driver of the laptop.

If they're not installed or not first configured as they need to be, the management software won't work correctly.

Yeah that's what I see until I hit the laptop button to enable Office mode then it changes the view.

I don't have the installer itself from the laptop as it was pre-installed, but here's a link to the version that PCS provides on my tech support download page.

Mine is still 2.0.1.1 which we agreed is the same, but you never know, it could be a slight variation.

Did You update nvidia drivers via GeforceExperience?

I would personally install windows from a latest ISO, don't install an old version and let it update as in place version updates can cause issues.

Very first thing you do is install chipset drivers.

Then run windows update and let everything fully update and install.

Then check if there are any devices in device manager that haven't installed via windows update and install from the PCS driver downloads.

This will install the basic nvidia driver, then you need to download the full nvidia driver and install including experience if you want it.

Same here, activated preinstalled Windows and there is no fan setting in the Gaming center. I let all the drivers to be installed via windows update, manually I only did nvme and nvidia drivers
