Recoil II keyboard, altering backlight

I've just received my new Recoil II. The keyboard is nice and tactile but the rainbow backlight to it is not to my taste - I've found how to turn it down/off but not a way of making it white, rather then rainbow. Does anyone know if it is rainbow-only?

I found it - an app "gaming centre" (which I thought might hold old Windows games like Minesweeper) has a load of options for controlling the keyboard backlight and also an LED strip at the front edge of the base that I did not even know was there. So many options, none of which I am interested in :)

True, however, I find that using this app also tempers with the fans/CPU temperatures in the laptop. It is too reactive, changing the fan speed for almost everything you do. It even changes fan speed when toggling through taps in Chrome, or when clicking a link. Very annoying. Furthermore, the temperatures it showed seem not to be accurate, showing CPU temps when idle at 55-60 degrees C. I de-installed the game center app from my laptop for these reasons. Now, my Recoil II is quiet, and both RealTemp (v3.70) and HWMonitor show CPU temps of 35 degree C while typing this.

I have yet tpo find an alternative for changing the colours on my keyboard though

My initial impressions are that is a solidly built machine, the keyboard has nice action and now I can turn off the rainbow LED effect I'm happier. I was able to specify pretty much the configuration I wanted.
However, the OS was placed on the 2TB SSHD I ordered and not the 512GB M.2 (there was no option I could see to specifically request this and I was ill after I placed the order, so did not check by email). I've followed PC Specialists instruction to re-install the windows OS on the M.2 via a USB - but the default windows install won't recognise the wifi adaptor in the laptop. So at the moment, it's not a machine I can really use.
I'll see if PC specialist's tech help can sort me out on Monday.

While I've been trying to get Windows re-installed on ny Recoil II I noticed there is something about the keyboard backlight settings in the UEFI/Bios. It's a bit hammer-to-crack-a-nut but you might be able to change the backlight settings in there!

Clevo control centre was very similar. I've noticed Nvidia experience also can affect the temps

Had mine 10 days now. And as was pointed out, you can change the basics of the keyboard colouring in the bios. And you can make all the changes using the gaming centre software, which I must admit I have uninstalled now. So far so good, I am happy with the general quality of the system, but the keyboard is a little bit clicky, but not the end of the world.

You need to download and install the drivers, if you go to your download page when logged in to the site you should see all the drivers and software you need to install, and a couple you don't have to.

I know this is an old thread but just in case people come across it, I'll update on the machine.
1) you can use F7 to get into the UEFI (what we old people think of as the BIOS) and alter the keyboard lighting there also. But not the bar at the front of the keyboard. This keeps getting turned back on no matter how often I turn it off in Gaming Centre
2) I also have the really annoying on-off fan issues other mention - I will remove Gaming Centre.
3) It turned out my machine had some issue with the motherboard or PCI-E conflict and would not allow the OS to sit on the M.2 and the wifi (and other hardware) to work correctly. PCS have finally sorted this out for me with a rebuild. Now that I have the OS on the M.2 I am very happy with the machine. DOOM runs so much more smoothly on it than my old MSI gaming laptop, things load a lot quicker, the screen is clear and evenly lit and I rather like the keyboard.

Just log into your main PCS account and go to the downloads section, all your drivers are in there.
