I've bought a Recoil 3 in july, i7-9750h, 16 gb ram, rtx 2070.. after some bench test and game test i'venoticed that temps going to 99° and sometimes to 100°.... then i've done some undervolting with aida64 and throttlestop, atm i'm with pretty same temps, 97/98° at maximum but the throttle is really low, less than 10% with -250mV and -125mV on memory, i can stable reach 4.5Ghz on single turbo boost and 4.0Ghz in multicore boost, that are the maximum specs of this processor... so yes, temps are still high but i can use this proc at maximum performance with stable frequencies.... don't know if there can be some issues with this temp in 1 year , hope not, what do you think about it? Sorry for maybe bad eng :p

is this this 17.3" version?

You could consider repasting the laptop.

Those temps do seem a bit high for the Recoil which usually behaves alright for temps.

i have replaced the thermal past with arctic mx-4, cleaned fans, undervolted to -250mV and -125mV memory, now i'm stable around 88-90°C, no thermal throttling, Turbo Boost reach the maximum specs, 4.5Ghz on the single core and 4.0Ghz on multicore.. tested with 15min of stress tests.
Just a little consideration, the thermal past application is really ugly, too much past applied and temps go really high, i will not reccomend the "11€" past just because you need to replace it for sure... Other stuffs are made really well, good job PcSpecialist.

Well done on that, that's impressive to get it stable with that much undervolt.

We've mentioned to PCS about the thermal paste application a few times as it is one of the main issues that crops up with new laptops.

I will make them aware of this one also.
