Is it Clevo at least?

Been looking at a few different options since returning my 2070 TongFang. Ideally want AMD. Definitely want Clevo though.

Only ever had that one TongFang and it was terrible, lol. That's why I wouldn't go for one again. Multiple total motherboard failures..

I wonder if I could get IPS panel on it. I know it's possible, as other Clevo resellers mount IPS 90% sRGB panels into the same laptop. It's just that PCSpecialist has quite competetitive prices and good location in case warranty is needed.

I'd be really keen on upgrading to this laptop... but that's IF the RTX 3080 is 165W, and IF I can get that IPS panel. NTSC 72% is a bit lackey.

IIRC 72% NTSC circa equal to 95-100% sRGB.
They are totally 2 different gamut coverages.

They are for sure IPS both.

Okay, that's actually pretty good to hear. Guess should've done more research than just asking friends.
Now just the question is about the wattage of GPU. 165W should be good, so if it is 165W, I might be getting a new laptop soon-ish? Not sure yet, as I don't really need it (GTX 1080 and i7 8700K still holds up even today), but it'd be nice for sure.
But yeah, I want 150W at least.

I can confirm it’s a 150W standard according to PCS (confirmed this on live chat before I ordered) and I have seen it draw up to 165W on stress testing and tuning whilst monitoring it on the Nvidia panel.

Sweet! Guess I'll seriously consider grabbing it soon-ish. Only downside seems to be double PSU, but I guess that's the price of having high power in portable format.

Also wondering if I should wait for 2933MHz RAM to be available. It's probably like 3FPS boost max, but the price difference is so small so it might be worth it.
