Good question - predominantly gaming (Skyrim, Arkham City, Champions Online, Oblivion, Shogun 2) but possibly some photo editing too and home office work.

Not essential, the second build is much better. You could consider a scorpio black instead as the main drive and the killer 1202 wireless card.
