RGB RAM overclock

Hi

I recently bought a pre-built gaming PC and would like to increase the RAM from 8GB to 16GB.

I'm particularly interested in RGB as it looks better and been doing alot of research to determine if it will actually work on my system.

The mobo I have is an ASUS Prime A320M-K with a Ryzen 5 3400G CPU.

Only have 2 slots for RAM and 1 is filled with a Crucial 8GB DDR-4 2666.

I'd like to upgrade to with 2 x 8GB Corsair CMW16GX4M2C3200C16 Vengeance RGB Pro DDR-4 3200

I'm not sure if my board will accept the XMP/D.O.C.P profile from this RAM, reason being, the docp option in BIOS is currently disabled and cannot enable (presumably because the current RAM doesn't have any profiles on it)
Also, under Ai Tweaker, I don't have Ai Overclock Tuner option listed at all.

The BIOS is at the latest version too.

I'm not sure if the overclock tuner is required or not or whether it will magically appear once docp is enabled (if I can enable docp that is)

This RAM is expensive and really don't want to waste my money if it's not going to work.

Any advice you have will be a big help.

Thanks

Is this a PCSpecialist machine? Can you post your full specs from the order page?

Hi. No this isn't a Pcspecialist machine, I bought from elsewhere, however this is the first time I've had a gaming PC so just trying to get to grips with it.

XMP is all new to me and as you guys know about this area, I was wondering if you could help me out?

I just don't want to waste my money on RAM which won't output to 3200.

Unfortunately this is PCS forum so when can discuss only about PCS machine (it is in the rules). Try to put the same question on an open forum (like Tom's hardware, etc.). Good luck!

As above. The forums rules do not permit the discussion of hardware other than that sold by PC Specialist Ltd. Sorry about that.

A general forum like Tom's Hardware is your best option.
