Hi al,,

I have just installed an new vertex 2 ssd into my laptop, windows experience gives it a score of 7.8 which is awesome, however what I do not understand is that my new desktop from pc specialist also has the same drive as primary drive however windows experience only scores it at 7.2? Any ideas anyone as the same drive should score the same score?

Below is the spec of my laptop and desktop...

Thanks rich

Do you have windows 7 home premium 64-bit on both the desktop and laptop? (different versions of windows have different limits)

Hi guys, right my laptop is running windows 7 64 bit that gives the ssd a score of 7.8, my desktop is running windows home premium 64 bit and that scores the ssd at 7.2. To be honest im pretty sure that when i first had the desktop it initially rated the ssd as 7.7, then I had to completely re load windows due to a problem then the score dropped.
And my desktop has a sapphire radeon 5970 graphics card.
I cant seem to be able to update the firmware either, I keep getting a message cannnot update firmware on primary drive? I know there is a more up to date firmware patch... So any ideas anyone?
