Hey guys i was wondering if i could get some help on choosing the right computer for me. I want to start making gaming videos for youtube and needed to know what are the best specs for me. I would play games like amnesia, slenderman, surgeon sim and mmo's. My computer would need to record at 30fps at 1080p and would also need to do some video editing. At the moment these are my spec:

Case:ZALMAN Z11 PLUS BLACK MID TOWER CASE
Processor (CPU): Intel® Core™i5 Quad Core Processor i5-3570K (3.4GHz) 6MB Cache
Motherboard: ASUS® P8H61-MX USB3/SI: uATX, USB 3.0, SATA 3.0Gb/s
Memory (RAM): 8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)
Graphics Card: 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650Ti BOOST- 2 x DVI, HDMI, - 3D Vision Ready
Memory - 1st Hard Disk 1TB 3.5" SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 32MB CACHE

Is that good or is more needed. Would very much appreciate. Also some advice on best recording software, was thinking fraps or dxtory.
My budget is 1000

For £1k you can do much better than that and it will allow you to progress on to more demanding games in the future should you ever wish to.

For 1k you can get something like this.

Case
PCS MAELSTROM T900 BLACK GAMING CASE Your case is out of stock so I just picked this one to keep the price the same.
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i5 Quad Core Processor i5-4570 (3.2GHz) 6MB Cache K variant is for overclocking, unless your overclocking then don't bother with it.
Motherboard
ASUS® Z87-K: ATX, USB2.0, USB3.0, SATA6GB/S, XFIRE Good solid motherboard
Memory (RAM)
8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X GENESIS DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz, X.M.P (2 x 4GB KIT)Plenty for gaming, should be for a long time to come too.
Graphics Card
2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 770 - 2 DVI, HDMI, DP - 3D Vision Ready Probably WAY overkill for your needs, if you never plan to get into more demanding games then drop it back down a couple of levels to a GTX 760 or even a HD 7870
Free Item
FREE SPLINTER CELL BLACKLIST GAME with GTX 660 & 7 Series GPUs!
Memory - 1st Hard Disk
1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1002FAEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm) Slightly faster HDD, If you downgrade the GPU consider adding a SSD as the main drive with this as your 2nd drive for your videos
1st DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
24x DUAL LAYER DVD WRITER ±R/±RW/RAM
Power Supply
650W FSP RAIDER SERIES RA-650 80 PLUS® BRONZE (£59) Again if downgrading to a lower performance GPU you can drop this to a 450w
Processor Cooling
Super Quiet 22dBA Triple Copper Heatpipe Intel CPU Cooler (£19) Keep the CPU nice and cool, good cooler
Sound Card
ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)

Thanks for the help. I think your right but i dont know about getting gtx 7 series. Games will be standard not high end, saving that for ps4 gameplay.

Alright, so you have no plans to play the likes of BF4, crisis 3 or anything like that? That means you can save a couple of £ on the setup.

If you really couldn't care less about the latest games and the flashiest graphics then a 650ti is a decent card. Next decent step up from that would be a 7850/7870, then for a slightly bigger step it would be something like a GTX 760. I would go for something like a 7850/7870 (they are fairly similar but the 7870 is better value) That way you do have the option to play modern games on decent settings but it is much much cheaper than the 770 and performs a good step ahead of the 650ti for only £29 more.

From PCS I hear good things about the iiyama ones, but other than that I have no idea.

One other point, if you buy a low end GPU now make sure you have room in the PSU to upgrade later because that would be a real pain to switch out later when you want to upgrade.

I think Mantadog's spec looks very good, and as mentioned you could drop the GPU somewhat to save money. I have an iiyama monitor which I like very much, but there are other good monitors too. Just make sure you get a full HD one (1080 resolution)
