RMA: "Awaiting Collection"

Hey there forum.

Being the worrier that I am I figured I would also post my query here, in addition to sending a message to the respective PCSpecialist department. I'm hoping that maybe a moderator or member could shed some light on my situation.

The email I sent to the department hopefully sums up my situation.

Dear PC Specialist

My package was collected on the 28th of December by your courier, and it is now the 31st and there has been no update on the status of my return; only that it is 'Awaiting Collection'.

This is the second time I have had to return my product, after an unsuccessful repair on return of the first RMA. Being essential to my University course not having it repaired by the start of term would be devastating. So I was hoping to get some information on where my repair stands.

I understand that it is the holidays and a busy time of the year, but I hope to hear from you soon.

Obviously I'm posting this because there seems to be a larger delay than my previous RMA arriving at PCS. However, being told this would be set as a priority RMA on the phone, due to the nature of my laptop breaking within an hour on return of the previous one; I am concerned.

I have feeling this is due to the couriers side of things rather than PCS, but as ever I'm anxious about having my laptop back as soon as possible.

Any advice, information or updates would be great.

Firstly, this thread has been moved because it's not a request for sales advice.

Apologies that your laptop has had to be returned, as with all electrical products failures can happen. I wouldn't worry about it not being booked in yet - due to the Xmas and New Year holidays we won't receive it until Tuesday 3rd January. However the RMA is a priority and we'll get it back to you as soon as possible.

Sorry about the misplaced thread.

Thank you sincerely for the update though. I knew the holiday time was busy and probably shouldn't have worried, however, I was terrified it had been lost in transit but this has cleared me of worries!
