RMA time - 3 months and counting

Just looking for a bit of advice here...

I sent my laptop in for an RMA. Laptop wasn't charging, keyboard unusable - multiple keys not working and overheating.

It was received by Pc Specialist on the 15th April. I was told the laptop would be fast tracked and looked at within 3 weeks.

I since found out that the laptop was not fast tracked and took 6 weeks to get a response.

The motherboard needed to be sent off for repair. The estimated time was another 4 - 6 weeks.

6 weeks passed with no update. I'm into the 7th week now.

I sent an email to the technician looking after the job but he couldn't give me an update. Emailed customer service this afternoon and was told they would have the RMA team respond - no response after another week. I've been told that no compensation would be offered but the technician subsequently told me I would get a 3 month extension on my warranty.

I understand that there are serious delays regarding parts at the moment bit I feel that this is well beyond a reasonable timeframe for an RMA.

Is there anything I can do here? Can anyone recommend someone I can contact in Pc Specialist?

I've had the laptop less than two years and over the course of 2 RMA's, I've been without it for nearly 5 months in that time.

I feel like I'm just getting fobbed of by customer service and the technician looking after the repair and it's actually causing me some distress at this stage.

Thanks in advance!

Call them and ask to speak with the Customer Care Manager and discuss this with him.

TBH if the board has gone off for repair then it's largely out of PCS's control.
