Router connection issues

I have a new mini pc which seems to work fine until I connect to the Internet. It works for a short while then informs me it can't connect to any websites even though the connection is apparently extant and the connection status says that I am connected to the Internet. All the other devices in our house seem to work fine; three tablets and a Sonos set up. When the connection to the PC crashes, which it has several times, it blows the router and all our devices are disconnected. Is the wifi gismo in the PC faulty or is it causing the router to overload? Any ideas? I'm using a tablet to post this.

Can you post your order specifications so the resident troubleshooters will know what they’re dealing with, please?

Hi,
Its a mini PC 3 DAYS OLD
CPU - Intel Celeron QC J3455
Mother Bd - Intel NUC6CAYH
Memory - 8GB Kingston
Graphics - integrated Intel HD
Wireless/Wired networking - GIGABIT LAN + Wireless Intel AC 3168 M.2
WINDOWS 10 HOME - COULD IT BE A SOFTWARE FAULT?

The router is a Zyxel with standard and 5G options - all our other devices are operating normally (Android and Mac) as well as Sonos set-up.
The persistent sequence of events is:
Switch on, log in, home screen, click on browser, Internet fires up but shortly after indicates that none of the selected servers can be reached.
Settings indicates connection to Internet is OK then shortly after no connection. I have tried wireless and ethernet with same result.
Hope someone can help.

Ah, I'm sorry but as this is a PC Specialist owned forum, we can only offer advice on builds purchased from here. Perhaps try an open forum like Tom's Hardware, they may be able to offer you assistance.

I managed to get through to Technical Support at PCS this morning. After going through a thorough series of diagnostic checks without success, they agreed that it needed to go back to Wakefield to be sorted out. It's being collected tomorrow.
Thanks for your interest.

PhilM
