RTX 3070 / RYZEN 5600X BUILD

Hello, this is my PC which took 13 working days to arrive after cancelling my previous 3060Ti order. I have since attached another Corsair LL120 fan to the rear of the case just because I felt it would be wiser to have 3 fans for inflow and 3 for out rather than 3 in 2 out. While setting up this fan I had a bit of a problem connecting it to the RGB hub which was taped onto the bottom of the back of the case hidden by quite a few wires. I finally plugged it in and am happy with the results.

The only problem I have with this PC is that on startup I hear a ‘crackling’ noise which I think is from the HDD but am unsure on how to fix it? I have put a video at the end but it is quite hard to pick up because of the fans also running. Apart from that I am very happy with my build, I haven’t put photos of my full setup as I’m still waiting to get the G7 which I plan to get when I finish uni this year hoping it’ll cut down a bit in price.

Nice system. If you’re having issues, feel free to post a thread in the tech support section of the forum (just remember to include your full system specs, it’ll help the troubleshooting geniuses 🙂)

Crackling would suggest more electrical/socket not plugged in properly or dodgy connection... a HDD shouldnt crackle... a whirring noise, or occational slight click... but not a crackle. Worth checking all power cables are properly connected.

I'd use iCue to turn all the fans off or right down so silent and see what you can hear, and contact PCS..... any kind of crackle noise wouldnt suggest good things to me. Also, as Agentcooper say, post to the technical forum with a full spec list and anything you can describe or record.

Okay, thank you! I'll have another look and make sure everything is connected properly but if it does the same I'll upload it to the technical forum. I had some difficulty when installing the rear fan so I may have accidentally knocked a cable loose though I tried to be as careful as I could. Thanks again for your help.
