RTX 3080 Ti

So with the RTX 3080Ti rumoured to be released this month then will we be able to add it to our build on the announced day or will it be the launch day?

Also who here is considering a swap as this is liking to have an impact on the wait times for both the 3080 and the 3080 Ti?

Unsure of when it'll be added to the site, but I'll be making a fresh order on the day it's on the site and looking forward to it!

if you have build orderedand waiting for to go into build on the launch day, you'll be able to ammend the order to the 3080 Ti once its launched

Yup, essentially depending on what you've ordered you can wait and amend to it, if the planets align - I'm currently on 119 days pre-production so i'll probably be doing that when it releases. Remember though, it won't necessarily be on the site for order or pre(order) when it releases anyway. It's all fun and annoying...

PCS are an nvidia Partner, so they get stocks on release day with all the components.

Nevertheless, it will be a paper launch so there will barely be any units shipped out for launch.

I can’t believe that those kinds of pricing are real. It’s more expensive than the 3090 there so surely you would just get one of those instead?
The 3090 is far more expensive than that in those markets.

The markets in those examples are Abu Dhabi, and Vietnam. Abu Dhabi is one of the most expensive tech markets in the world.

It has no bearing on mainstream market pricing. Those markets pay huge premiums on import costs, most everyday people aren't able to buy them as a result. It's nothing like over here.

Tbh I stopped looking at 3080ti newsflashes a while back as they tended to be debunked/fake news or not relevant to current circumstances.
Even so, is it still projected to be 12Gb VRAM etc or more now? (one item I saw a while back said 16Gb like AMD, only GDDR6X of course) Nm that a lot of tech folks have been wondering if it's worth it or if Nvidia have lost the plot. New card when there's few enough of the current line up as is? I'll give AMD this, they might not be far and away the best yet but they know how to rattle cages.
Sigh, I might've gone for a 3080ti too, had it come earlier, as I didn't think a lot of the 3080's 10Gb and tbh didn't fancy waiting months and still wouldn't...

I bought a 6800XT on the weekend anyway, so yeah...

Yeah i stopped hyping myself over 3080ti, just went for 3090 for now to bypass massive wait times. If by any chance 3080TI is released before i get PC Specialist pc, i will downgrade but otherwise meh :D Money was not really a consideration
