No. As I've said, it's not easy to define the status of the gpu shortages, but we all know the water shortages in Taiwan, the Evergiven problem with the Suez canal, the Chinese new year, the ethereum All Time High, the new 3060 cards that use wafer that could have gone to other cards, same with the incoming 3080ti etc etc. are a thing and played a role, and all those thing happened in 2021.
Yes, it affected also my personal ability to buy one or two units, as it must have affected the ability for companies to buy several hundred.
How do you explain the countertrend? Are you saying that it's not true that the situation is worse now than it was 4/5 months ago?
I'm challenging your 'suggestion' that PCS are in some way responsible for not getting sufficient stock delivered. As I've said, your ability to source two or three cards does not equate at all with PCS's ability to source two or three hundred. Your 'suggestion' that PCS are somehow responsible is flawed.

Honestly the only issue with PCS is lack of communication. Things happen..It's worth the wait since I've bought from them before.

Got my codes via email, they emailed me back within a couple of hours. Seems wait times there have decreased dramatically.

As the legends foretold, my order went into building! 🥳

View attachment 25697

Now all my hopes and prayers go to the delivery system, which hopefully doesn't bring me a package of finely crushed sand/exploded stained glass (Gotta love that sweet corsair glass case, and the risk that comes with it).
Might be quite out of context here, but since almost 6 months of experience are pooled in here, and this is my first order, i'm gonna ask this anyway: if my order is delivered as a pile of shrapnel and pieces of glass, the first thing to do should be calling assistance and send it back, right?
Yes, just contact customer service explain what’s happened sadly you’ll have to send it back for them to fix it and will go back into the pre-production/building stage depending on the stock they have of stated case. At least it won’t be another 109 days 😂

This is not necessarily the case, I’d a glass panel is shattered PCS would usually just send a replacement panel rather than having to return the whole PC.

Thanks for the information!
The order is already awaiting dispatch, probably monday/tuesday.
If a panel is cracked/shattered during delivery, yeah, it'd be sad, but nothing that can't be fixed.
I'm honestly more concerned about the integrity of the internal components, especially since in Italy the delivery system seems to have a special, specific phase where employees repeatedly punch, kick, and throw your package to test its durability and worthiness.

I don't think PCSpecialist can supply me with a spare heart if that happens.
Can only hope for the best at this point.

A lot of people in Italy order stuff and it gets delivered without issue. But if the worst does happen, PCS will sort it out and if you have any problems anywhere, just post on the forums and we may be able to help.

Of Course, let me explain better, first of all: What I'm saying it's my personal viewpoint striclty based on my own observation and may not correspond to the truth, you are free to agree with me or not, hence the word viewpoint.
What are the observation I made? The shortages of gpus started right from the beginning the 17th of September, but there have been worst periods and better periods. I remember that even if hard it was possible to find gpus from September to mid January, I followed discord channels that were spamming dozens of links every day, of course dozens of links weren't enough for thousands of people, but it was somehow possible to buy one. I personally managed to buy 2 3060TIs at 500€ and 530€ from two different german shops (I can't say the name right here since it's against the rules) for a couple of friends. What did PCS during this period? They still had to finish the first month of orders, after 4 months. In the end, they finally finished that first month of orders after 5 months, you can go see it yourself, this is a thread accessible to anyone.
Now they are at the end of November, so 2 and a half months of orders fulfilled, 7 and a half months from the beginning, they accelerated, right?

I haven't seen this article specifically, now I did. It's another source of information delaying what another source of information said in the past, which is taht these shortages will last a little more than we tought, I keep reading articles like those, they are becoming kind of cyclical and that's because it's true, the situation is bad and it seems it's getting worse. But the point it's not guessing when it'll end because It's kind of impossibile to tell exactly when this situation will end, what we can do, which it's a little bit easier, is to understand how bad the situation in right now, don't get me wrong, it's still hard to do, but a little bit easier. And the truth is that it has worsened over time. Have you bought something during Christmas or Black friday? I did, I've been able to buy 2 monitors for friends of mine, ram kits ecc, I even changed my own monitor. Fast forward to February/April, ram prices has risen, monitor prices has risen and some were even impossibile to find, power supply vanished everywhere or costed like a kidney, discord channels stopped sending links for weeks, I mean, you got the point.
I'm still going around about what the situation have been and kind of saying the exact same thing I did in the other message, which is that somehow PCS managed to perform worse than how is performing right now even if the situation now is way way worse than it was before, and it's not because they are doing a spectacular job right now, I personally think they are doing ok, but because they did really really bad in the past. You sayed that "PCS are, either through their own action or through their own inaction, directly responsible for not having sufficient stock.", I personally think that PCS did not assert itself as it should have done, behaving and getting treated like a small system builder when in reality it's not. They can't make miracles since shortages still exists, but I think they could have handled it better, even in a customer point of view (I live in Italy and I'm lucky enough to understand and somehow speak english, do you have an idea of how many people out there who have no idea this forum exist waiting for 5 months with no information about their orders?), I mean, you are a moderator and have been following this thread since the beginning, you should know exactly as I do how much of a pain the orders from mid September to mid October have been and how much people have been complaining.

Yes, you're right, they are different from PCS that lets you pick exactly the parts you want (sorry for my small vocabulary, I don't know how to differentiate in a simple word those different kind of companies and their way of operating), but the point it's the same, you have no idea how many PMs I've received from people that have cancelled their order here because they received their system with a 3080 in it in a week or two elsewhere, linking me those shops. You can also kind of guess who they were since you've been following this thread from the beginning. Due to Brexit I couldn't make the jump myself, and overall, I know that buying at PCS it's a guarantee of impeccability since a friend of mine already bought 2 laptops here. But that doesn't mean that PCS can't fail sometimes. They did.
oh god who will read all this. damn allow that
