RTX 3080

Just realised the optics of the "Haha" following the "im only 10 days in". You need to read the IMGFLIP.

It does, but in my eyes its scummy that this was done to get higher priority than people waiting until the part was available to order.
I ordered mine and then changed because of how long I was already waiting, I didn’t purposely order and then change to get a higher position.

People built their orders in october, put a 'dont ship before' date on it and amended to the 5900x when it was available.
I wasn't aware that PCS provided a 'don't ship before' service? Their Terms and Conditions say this...

5.2 Your order will be fulfilled as soon as possible after your Order Confirmation and in any event within 30 days of the date of the Order Confirmation, unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Running up to Christmas I believe they did - I think I saw it when I ordered mine.
Obviously don't want your new machine sat around running out the warranty waiting for Santa to do his logistics thing, so you could hold it until closer to the time I guess. Not really applicable to us 3080-ers I wouldn't have thought

Mine was dispacted today at 80 days with a 3080 and a 5900x so I suspect you won't be long behind me. I would recommend sending them an email. I sent them an email and my computer went into building the next day, might have been coincidence but either way it doesn't hurt to get some communication on your order.
nice, that means some batches are indeed coming. I will probably email on Monday, I do have a specific contact that looked after my order a bit earlier, he said it would probably around next week, but as you said, it won't hurt to reassure the situation

I rang up yesterday and the guy I spoke to called Liam said that they think they will have a delivery of 5900Xs on Saturday. But at the moment they have no guarantees on what is coming on the deliveries.

yeah i did see a do not ship before option as well i think pcs warranty starts from when your receive the product it states

7.1In addition to any warranty that you may have purchased with your Goods, all Goods that we supply are warranted free from defects for 12 months from the date of supply. This warranty does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer

looking at the term date of supply legally =

For goods, the date of supply is the date the goods are sent by the supplier, collected by the customer or made available to the customer (for example a washing machine delivered to a hair salon).

I recieved an email update from PCS regarding my order. Reading the thread, it seems like not everybody has recieved this email yet, so thought it might be helpful if i posted it here.

Ordered a 3080 on 11/11 and amended my order to include a 5900x on 11/12

Dear Sfeeju

We are writing to provide a status update for your order

Please note that due to the global supply issues our call centre is extremely busy at present and if you choose to call us the waiting times might be in excess of 1 hour.

As you will be aware, you placed your order with a product that was available on a pre-order basis (10GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 - HDMI, DP (Delivery before Xmas not guaranteed)).

The global supply situation from Nvidia is extremely tight, and Nvidia are only providing a small allocation to manufacturers each week. We currently have 1560 orders placed with us for computers featuring this product. Since December, we have only received 205 units and we are assembling all orders on a first come, first served basis.

We are doing everything we can to secure better supply, but the situation is not likely to improve anytime soon. Although Nvidia are not providing any official updates on supply, we are hearing rumours that supply might not free up until March 2021 or beyond.

There are a number of options available to you at this moment in time:

1. If you are happy to wait, we will supply your order in-line with your queue position as soon as we receive stock. You do not need to reply to this email or take any action.

2. You could amend your order to an alternative product of similar performance, however note that most competing products are also in very short supply.

3. You could amend your order to an entry level graphics card. This will allow us to complete your order and dispatch it to you. Then, at a later date once supply is more readily available you could purchase the product you originally ordered and sell on the entry level graphics card.

4. You could amend your order to have the order shipped without a graphics card. Then, at a later date once supply is more readily available you could purchase the product you originally ordered and fit this into the computer yourself.

5. You could cancel your order and receive a full refund. If you choose this option, please be mindful that you would lose your queue position.

Options 2 - 4 above can be done through your online account. You just need to login and select the option to amend your order.

We are very sorry about the supply situation right now, it is very frustrating for both you as our trusted customer and for us as a supplier. We feel that we are letting you down and it is not the customer experience that we normally provide.

Kind Regards

Hi all,

I had ordered early December, decided to switch today from 3080 to a 3090 and also switch CPU from 5900x to a 3900X. A shame, but i cba waiting until April/May - can always upgrade the CPU later :)

Assuming no other delayed parts in my spec, will let you know how long it takes to go into production etc.

My order went into building status today :)

(31 days pre-production - I switched from a nvidia 3080 to 3090 and a AMD 5900x to a 3900x as both were listed in stock when I amended on Monday 18th (6 days ago). Good luck to everyone else waiting.
