I think PCS advise their staff not to give ETA on 3080 deliveries, I was quite surprised we heard about the expected delivery on the 2nd. I also followed up with the complaints team off of the back of their response provided above, about that delivery to which she replied 'I would advice that throughout each and every replenishment we have received for the 3080, the estimated dates of stock arrival have not been accurate or kept to. It is unfortunately the case that the stock can arrive at any time and continue to not be able to forecast which shipments will arrive and how much stock will be allocated to us for that shipment' so probably more likely that they still have the delivery in for 2nd April but haven't heard any further news and it's also likely I expect that the Suez Canal situation has potentially delayed stock a little more than usual as well. So no real change to how they can manage the 3080 situation....it will arrive when it arrives. Only real info we can go on is relative queue positions. I'm up to 94 working days today.Wonder if that means that the April 2nd delivery of 3080s has been affected
I'm due to hit 100 days on Friday - I hope I'm not waiting too much longer

I know, I just thought when they sent me that email about everything being processed but my case being in stock, that that had meant I'd go into building within a few days as soon as they got my case - which led to me spending more money to rush my case to them.
It's all just a bit frustrating.
Yeah that is quite frustrating! At least it wasn't the other way round and you had missed the 3080 stock because you chose a cheaper delivery option and it hadn't arrived in time. That would probably have been a worse feeling.

And the ship our cards are on is either somewhere in the queue of 320+ plus ships or the Captain was a git and decided not to wait and is now on a 15000 mile trip round Africa 🤣

I can confirm that it was worth the wait
I've a ZOTAC in mine which appears to be a decent card.
@AgentCooper will be relieved to hear that the cabling is super neat as I'd have shared otherwise ;-)
Forgot how much heat performance machines can pump out, pfff!

So last week my PC gave up the ghost and gave me an excuse to ring PC Specialist to see if they could assist with fixing it. Wasn't able to solve anything but I also asked for how long they expected my order to take. The guy said that they had ordered 1500 3080 cards for April but was likely that they weren't going to get that many.
At time of calling (about a week ago) he told me I was 400 ish in the queue, I ordered on 28th of December (66 Working Days), so hopefully that gives people an idea of where they are with orders atm

Pull up a comfy chair and invest in some good gin.
It may be a long tortuous ride but I can assure you as an 80+ day veteran it will be both informative, amusing and sometimes you will enjoy the odd twinge of pathos.
If you haven't read Chesterton's "The Club of Queer Trades" you will not only have the time but also the opportunity to examine if, as I believe, some of the characters were based on your fellow waitee's
