Ryzen Tweaking (Undervolt, overclock)

Disclaimer: this is purely for those who understand the basics of undervolting and overclocking and should not be attempted without basic understanding. You do run the risk of damaging your processor / motherboard by fiddling with these settings. Any damage resulting from improper application would NOT be covered by your warranty.

This tool requires making adjustments in BIOS which will not be available on laptops as the BIOS are locked down, so it's really only for desktops.

For those in the know, there's a free tool that's just hit the community to help maximise undervolt / overclocks on Ryzen, which as you know is an entirely different beast to the Intel that we're all used to.

This tool helps identify the strengths / weaknesses of each CCX and maximise the adjustment made to each core.

Ooooo that's very interesting. So instead of doing an all core clock they are individually set to their determined maximum.

That's all up-side then :)

Yeah, looks quite effective although there is still a bit of a learning curve and it's not entirely automated yet, but I have no doubt the creator of the tool will improve it as time goes on. Hopefully he gets snapped up by AMD and integrates this into the boards.

What was described regarding the BIOS settings is unlikely to be automated at any point. Unfortunately it's the way to set the base-line for the program to work and what they mentioned were settings that are only accessible in the BIOS.

The good thing is that it's probably the standard settings that are being requested, it's just asking the user to make sure they are on it :D
