Screen resolution and Graphics card

I'm looking for a new monitor and may go for one with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440.
Will my 1GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX460 graphics card be good enough for this resolution mainly for photoshop use.......but also, how about gaming although I dont do much of this!!

should be ok i guess, although game graphics wont be great, id just stick with a 1080p monitor personally

Well, my 1GB GTX460 deals with my 1920x1080 and 1680x1050 (at the same time) screens perfectly fine, admittedly when gaming I only ever have the game on the first screen.

Thanks Guys, Photoshop and Lightroom are my main concerns with the higher resolution, as previously mentioned, I'm not into games so this would not bother me
