Sent expired codes with my PC

So I ordered a customer built pc on the 26th of May. At the time it had the build time estimate listed as 12-14 working days. When it got to 15 working days and it was still in pre-production I called up and the guy on the phone was brutally honest with me (which I appreciated tbh, rather know the truth than be fed waffle), he told me with covid delays it would probably be another 2-3 weeks before I saw it even at that stage. Fine, nothing to do so I said I'll wait however long I need to. Finally got the email saying it was dispatched and will be with me this coming Monday, received that email the 2nd of July. However when picking the parts I specifically picked an AMD RX5700 as the offer with that included 2 free games and 3 months game pass. When I got the email about dispatch I got a separate email with the codes to claim this offer and the email said the codes expired the 30th of June, 2 days before they even sent me the codes! Tried them on the AMD site anyway just in case and they were indeed expired. Called up and the guy on the phone said he would have the marketing team email me fresh working codes before the weekend, but I have got nothing. Has anyone else experienced this and got anywhere with claiming these free games? After waiting over a month for the build time already I am seriously pissed off that the offer expired before I could claim it and I am sorely tempted to just return the PC over all this.

The offers aren't set by PCSpecialist, but by the hardware manufacturers, in this case AMD. The fact that PCS said they'd give a newer offer alone is beyond their duty. I would suggest you try to be a bit more grateful.

Grateful for what? I am paying a fortune for a gaming PC, I picked a part specifically because it had that promo, and was initially told I would have my PC way before the offer expired when I initially ordered. I get it, Covid has made every job slower, I genuinely did not care when they guy told me it was gonna take a long time. I would expect at the very least them to stand over any offer that was promoted when I placed and paid for the order!

The offer isn't valid unti you receive the device, that's standard on any laptop purchase. It's not from time of purchase. Normally they just state valid whilst stocks last and you get no warning when they're expiring.

Go for it and send it back. I'm sure sending it back will make your message loud and clear. Not sure what message that would be mind, but I'm sure it will carry great weight. And be worth not having your PC.
