Skyfire II - Chi-Mei N173HGE-L11 Screen

Hi guys,

I have just ordered a Skyfire II with the matte screen, however, I have just realized it is the Chi-Mei N173HGE-L11.

Is this screen still an issue? I have read a fair amount of horror stories regarding this screen.

The only options for this chassis is the Chi-Mei N173HGE-L11 or a glossy version.

I am now a bit concerned after spending over £1.2k on a laptop that may have an extremely low quality screen!

Anyone out there who can ease my worry!

What don't you like about this screen? We have been selling it for many months with no complaints and we certainly haven't heard any horror stories...

There are a few threads on this forum indicating this screen has a fairly thick coating of anti glare giving it a very grainy effect, although after speaking to one of the team on the phone this may have been an issue with the older screens only, at least I hope so.
