Sold iMac for a PCS Desktop!

It's true! I actually parted with my beloved Apple iMac for a custom gaming PC from PCS! It took a lot of courage to do, as I am an Apple fan at heart. I own the iPad Pro 12.9" (2nd gen) and the iPhone XS Max. So why did I part with the iMac? Well... it comes down to gaming really. I was running native Windows 10 via Bootcamp, an official method by Apple to run Windows 10 from its own HDD partition and access hardware directly without emulation. The problem comes down to performance, mainly graphics and frame rates. Bootcamp also killed the iMac and started a restart loop if you had a 2nd monitor plugged in during Windows boot-up, something that happened as a result of Windows 10 update changes.

The iMac spec:
MODEL RETINA 5K 27-INCH 2017
PROCESSOR 4.2GHZ QC I7, TB UP TO 4.5GHZ
MEMORY 16GB 2400MHZ DDR4 - 2X8GB
STORAGE 3TB FUSION DRIVE (128GB FLASH)
GRAPHICS AMD RADEON PRO 580 W/8GB VRAM

The PCS desktop spec:
Intel® Core™ i9 Eight Core Processor i9-9900K (3.6GHz) 16MB Cache
16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3000MHz (2 x 8GB)
500GB SEAGATE BARRACUDA 2.5" SSD, (upto 560MB/sR | 535MB/sW)
2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA PRO 3.5", 7200 RPM 128MB CACHE
8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - RTX VR Ready!

I now hope to get better gaming performance including graphics level and higher frame rates. The iMac would often drop below 30FPS. The funniest thing is the PCS desktop is cheaper than the iMac build was. I do like Apple's build quality and longevity, but gaming is a big no no. My full PCS desktop spec is on the forums at https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/new-gaming-pc-14-04-2019.62657/.
