Some advice for ARPG set up

First of all hello to the community.

I’ve been looking the last week or so at putting together a set up for mainly ARPG titles (Wolcen, grim dawn ect) & would like a little advice. I’ve been out of the pc gaming loop for over 10 years now & it’s moved on so much!

Simply put I don’t know if I need the level of spec I’m putting together, right now I’m looking at things like i9,2080ti & 64gb ram. I know what does what ect with the parts but do I really need an i9/2080ti for ARPGs? I know the games get very busy (many a hundred hour spend in Diablo 3) with the enemy count & effects. Also looked into using a water cooled unit.

Budget isn’t so much an issue but if I don’t need to spend 5k & a 2k rig will be just fine then obviously that’s great. I’d want to be running everything on ultra preferably.

I’ve looked here for a build or two, three so am ready to take the plunge I think. But would love a little guidance.

many thanks

All depends what monitor your pairing it with? What resolution and refresh rate or make and model if you’re unsure?

I would suggest an AMD alternative, better feature set, better upgrade path, just betterer!

Thanks for that!
Honestly, I haven’t looked into monitors all that much. Once I got to it my thought would be just to go as high end as possible with get the most out of the Set up .

any you’d recommend if I was looking at getting the set up I’ve mentioned above?
