Is this for the same 1080p monitor? That's a huge waste of GPU performance & cash.

I haven't looked at getting a 1440p monitor - don't want anything bigger than a 24" at the moment

Not really clued up on PC's just want something that makes playing games like warzone easier with 150+ frames or whatever

If you want maximum frames at 1080p with the option of moving to 1440p in future then there is no reason to go for more than this. In fact this is overkill and is aimed at 1440p 144Hz

I'll eventually get a 1440p monitor but just not yet
What's the reluctance if you don't mind me asking? Space? Budget? Worried about FPS?

If it's budget you're worried about there's certainly areas we can save on to get you both a PC and a monitor for your budget

Even at 1440p, it seems you'll be averaging 140FPS with 'competitive' settings or your ideal 150FPS at Low

I remember switiching from 1080p to 1440p and the difference was mind blowing, the extra detail was amazing and just how sharp everything was too. You're going from 2.1 million pixels to 3.7 million pixels it's an incredible jump and one I can highly recommend. Not to mention that for RTX4000 we probably won't have 1080p cards, the 4060 will be so powerful it'll be able to run 1440p no issue- it's a dead res.

I guess thinking about I can keep the ASUS monitor for my console and buy a new monitor for a new PC

Space and budget aren't necessarily the problem - I know that I don't want to go higher than 27" as it doesn't fit my comfort level when gaming, so you could factor in a 1440p monitor into a build

not really looked into the price of 27" though so not too sure how much a good one would set me back

Hi Stevey,

Could I change this setup to 3070 ti? Would I need anything higher than intel 5?

You’re almost coming to a stage where we may need to reset our expectations. AMD will be unleashing a beastly set of chips around late September / early October. They are likely to be game changers. With that in mind, when are you needing / wanting to buy? If you can hold your horses for a few months you’ll have a new set of options on the table.

Set yourself a definite budget for the system, a pot of gold for the monitor, and a timescale for when they all need to coalesce. Only then will you find your magic number 👍

kinda wanting one ASAP but if the price will decrease when the new GPU's come out I can wait I guess?
