The card is good yes, but, if you have 2.1 speakers or something, then, pointless. You need surround as a minimum to be taking advantage of this kind of soundcard.
The sound quality on all of the Creative SoundCards is great. The SB Titanium covers all basis really and is ideal for gamers, movie boffs & music enthusiasts so I'm sure it will cater for you what ever you will use the PC for.
