Looking for a bit of advice.
Unable to get any sound out of my PC since Friday.
Using the onboard sound on the ASUS Prime310-PLUS motherboard.
Set up is only 3 months old.
Win 10, Firefox.
Checked as many settings etc that I can, now run out of ideas.
Dont really want to send the PC back, and seprate sound cards can be got for under £30.

Any ideas?
Thanks

Hiya, is this a PC specialist PC? Can you post your full specs from the order page?

So it's just motherboard sound.

What output is windows outputting to? Can you take a screenshot?

What speakers do you have connected, or what are you outputting to?

It's highly unlikely there's anything wrong at a hardware level, it's either going to be drivers or settings.

Just checked, when I test the speakers, all ok ( from conrol panel ).
No sound from BBC iplayer, winows media player, or groove music. Also, nothing on headphones

So you're output is currently set to the monitor, not the speakers, so that's likely why.

You just need to change the output.

This will often happen if you don't do a custom installation on graphics drivers, it will automatically install the nvidia HD Audio driver and automatically set your monitor as your audio output.

You always want to custom install graphics drivers and deselect the HDAudio component.
