What is better - 2TB WD caviar green sata 3 or 1TB WD caviar black sata 6?

you wont see any difference between them. both are 64mb cache so go for caviar green. if you want a faster hdd go for SSD

Yeah the performance difference isn't huge at the moment so the Caviar Green probably give better value for money. As Darko says, the real speed is with the SSDs at the moment but expect to pay a premium to get one of these as they are still new and in a majority of peoples eyes overpriced. I'm sure as time moves on, they will become more readily available and cheaper to buy

Yup, Intel Gen 3 should be due for release Q4 2010, 40GB version Q1 2011. Gen 2 boasted a 60% price reduction from Gen 1, wonder what Gen 3 will boast.
