Thermal Compound

Now I know this may come across as a silly question but should I upgrade the thermal paste option from the standard to the Artic Extreme paste? Will the paste really make a difference since I'm not OC the CPU? Will be greatful for input regarding this. Already am over-budget by £200!

Thx:p

Obviously the Artic Extreme paste is better but as your not overclocking you will be fine without.

I think that depends on your spec really, and ofcourse personal preference.

I've used the stock paste (that came with my original ECO I cooler) for about half a year it was fine, but when i changed to a air cooler, I started using MX5 or something, that was better easier to apply and clean off. But I now use Noctua NH thermal paste (came with my d14 cooler) i have to admit, having good thermal paste does help with the transfer of heat from the cpu to the cooler itself. But, the standard paste is good enough for the job. For me, its this crazy thing that I want the best on my rig.
