Thin Desk Solution for Gaming

Hi Guys,

Need some help. My new rig from PCSpecialist is likely arriving next week, but i'm short on space.

I've been looking all over the net for a thin desk with keyboard/mouse tray, but all of them are quite wide (depth of over 40cm etc).

I need a desk that doesnt take up much space, that will hold two screens, a keyboard and mouse, and have room underneath for the actual rig.

Any ideas? I thought of using a shelf, and getting a seperate keyboard tray, but a shelf isn't really strong enough to hold two screens.

Any help much appreciated!

have you used a keyboard tray before ? i hate them but then i'm quite tall and having a keyboard on my lap doesn't work at all.
work out the width you need and have a goosey in argos mag or ikea. heck even asda and tesco do desks these days.

Sorry - by tray i meant the little retractable shelves that people mount on the underside of the desk, so you can slide it in and out...

Ikea may be your best bet, when looking around try looking for "workstation" as opposed to "desk", they're basically desks but about half the width of what comes up when you look specifically for a "desk.

with the smaller ones the main problem to overcome is that you won't be able to have a mouse and keyboard side by side on them, as the keyboard tray on those are usually just big enough for a decent sized keyboard, so probably not ideal for long gaming sessions (though as the monitor space is alot bigger you'll be able to sit two screens on them reasonabley comfortabley.) you may want to consider having your pc sat either side of the desk/station so that you have somewhere to stick your feet though!
