I need a bit of advice please.
I'm retiring and looking to build/buy a desktop (not necessarily for gaming) but I will be using it to pull together all the home videos over the years.
I've got around £2000 to £2500 to spend on it, I want a top spec with an 1TB SSD drive for the Operating System (probably Windows 11 as I'm used to Windows over the years), and also room for at least 3 or 4 HDD (which I already have, 2 of which are 8TB).
I've had a look at the 'build it yourself' section and chose the top processor (intel) and 16GB of Ram but I'm not sure about motherboards and the rest. I'd also like a Blu-Ray/dvd writer in it.
If you had the money I do, what would be your spec to do the home video stuff and maybe play a small game with the wife to pass the time (we don't do those 'shot em up' type games, just some sort of detective game or find hidden objects, whic can be downloaded from certain sites).
A couple of builds would help with an explanation of the builds.
Thanks
