Hi!, I was hoping for some advice guys/girls. I have been looking at every single item going into the build reviews and price etc. I've tried to pick the pro's and cons between the two CPU's. My issue is I enjoy gaming and doing every day general stuff but I also plan on using the new system for my 3D modelling & Animation and some photoshop. But I wanna play all games on ultra in 1440p I don't care for 4k.
I plan to buy this PC on Finance but pay for it in 3 months.

Programs I'll be using are:
Photoshop
3D Max
Flash
Substance painter(I LOVE THIS PROGRAM!)
Dreamweaver
Unreal engine

i am not familiar with the programmes you posted, you could perhaps check benchmarks online for those but if it is mainly for gaming go for the cheapest one. For either build you can get a cheaper motherboard without loss in performance.

Thanks Keynes, I have a quick question though. You know the 400GB INTEL® 750 SERIES PCIe SSD (up to 2200MB/sR | 900MB/sW it's suppose to be blazing fast will make my rendering a million times easier. I have an issue though when I look at the Sabertooth board there are only 3 slots and they are all very close. Little worried about heat if I go sli 980 ti? PCS don't seem to offer 2.5 inch versions :(

I have the 6700k set up with the ranger board. The M2 option is great, blisteringly fast and does not get in the way at all. I got my 2 ti's from PCS. They currently stock the Zotac amp. Not as overclocked as the MSI but have a freeze option which keeps the fans off when not under load. I would heartily recommend them if you want the overclock with room to do more with the option of silent running. You are right, there will not be much room for the PCIe SSD.

Thanks Jerpers. I was also wondering would I be able to lower the PSU to 1000w ? I don't really wanna get 1200 if its not needed bare in mind I'll be getting a pair of gtx 980 ti's overclocked and the CPU will be overclocked.

I have the 1000w in mine. Runs absolutely fine. I've not needed to bother overclocking the 980tis any more than the factory one on the zotacs. Even then, there is still plenty of headroom on the PSU should I want to.

No misunderstanding. Maybe I explained myself wrong. My cards from PCS were factory overclocked, 1000w more than enough power for them. Just saying I'm not needing to overclock more than they are.

Ah great so I haven't gotta worry about my pc braking down then with 1000w :p

I'm currently still saving for this PC hopefully collect it all soon.
I still have a concern with the heat from the ssd though and is the Sabertooth X99 even compatible with 400GB INTEL® 750 SERIES PCIe SSD (up to 2200MB/sR | 900MB/sW) and sli 980 ti? should I bump upto the Rampage maybe? I don't know. Last thing I want is graphics cards overheating and getting silly 90+ temps. I don't plan on having the 980 ti's right below one another I'm probably gonna skip one expansion slot I saw allot of people doing it in there builds.
I looked on youtube and searched google abit but couldn't really find anything about it.

Advice would be very much appreciated.
