Ultranote Backlit Keyboard

I've recently bough an Ultranote V and installed Debian, this is probably a longshot, but is there any way to disable to keyboard backlight? I've checked the UEFI options, but there's nothing for it there.

EDIT: My Ultranote V is a Clevo N750GU.

From what I have gathered, the chassis for the Ultranote V is a Clevo N240WU.

I performed a search for that model number along with the keywords clevo linux keyboard backlight brought up search results for another company which sells laptops pre-loaded with linux, who also happen to make a driver for clevo laptop keyboards available for compilation from a github download.

It should work, in theory.

Thanks for replying. In hindsight I should have included this in the original post (will edit) but the laptop I received is a Clevo N750GU, I did a quick search but can't find any drivers for it.

Ah. Well that aforementioned utility may still work for you, it shouldn't do any harm if not. The only issue is if it doesn't work you would ideally want to get rid of it. I'd recommend creating a deb package from the source file.

Can you post the output of sudo hwinfo --short, in particular the keyboard section.
