Ultranote IV Review

The ultranote IV is a a really good laptop for the price. This is the second one I have owned.
I bought an i7 version with lowspec parts and swapped them out with some spare parts I had to upgrade it as soon as I got it.

Cons:
  • The plastic body offers a way too much flex on the screen

Neutral:
  • The fan can get a little loud under load but is perfect in an office environment (word, powerpoint, chrome)

Pros:
  • Quite thin and light for the spec
  • Internals readily accessible allowing for easy part upgrades for ram, m.2 ssd and HDD.
  • PCSpecialist allows for the option of no Win10 install, making the purchase even cheaper if your a student and can get a hold of very cheap student software from your university
  • The keyboard is nice to type on
  • Customer service is really good
  • Nice understated design, no logos or anything outlandish
  • Allows for the option to pick a different keyboard layout (I prefer US over a UK layout)
  • The battery lasts 4-6 hours depending on load and brightness setting. PCS allows you to buy spare batteries too.
