Hi All,
Looking for new laptop to run Linux Mint 20.04.

Have spec out a 15.6" ULTRANOTE VI as below, any one had problems with Mint on the same machine or similar, or any comments on the specs, before I pull the trigger.

I need to keep the price below £600.

Regards

John

There are a few reviews on this thread which may help. There have been no major issues with the Ultranote so think that should be fine with Mint.

Thanks Stephen,
I checked out the
Clevo NL51CU FHD which I think is this model, and it seem to be offered with linux preinstalled at another site.

The backlit keyboard certainly works. As for the F keys - well, F7 works as that's the one for changing the boot sequence. Not tried any others yet.

Sorry Rob, I worded my above post wrong, I meant to ask about the FN function keys, Screen brightness, sound keys and like

Good to know the F7 controls boot sequence, they all seem to have different keys for that.

Just tried all the FN keys, and all work as they should. The only problem I've found so far is that every time I enter my password, it's rejected - until I enter it a second time. Oh, and I'm finding it strange changing from a 22" PC monitor to a 15.6" laptop screen!
