Hi everyone! I'm looking to get a new PC for VFX and Racing Simulators wanted to know
if you think I'd better off changing some of the components:
Case
FRACTAL DEFINE XL R2 BLACK QUIET TOWER CASE
Processor (CPU)
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X 12 Core CPU (3.5GHz, 38MB CACHE, sTR4) (Do I a lot CPU rendering with Arnold Renderer)
Motherboard
ASUS® PRIME X399-A (DDR4, 6Gb/s, CrossFireX/SLI) - RGB Ready!
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2400MHz (4 x 8GB)
Graphics Card
8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2080 - HDMI, 3x DP GeForce - RTX VR Ready!
1st Storage Drive
240GB ADATA SU650 2.5" SSD, SATA 6 Gb (520MB/R, 450MB/W)
2nd Storage Drive
1TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 64MB CACHE

But I'm unsure if I should save up a bit more money and buy PNY QUADRO RTX 4000 8GB GDDR6 so its better future proofed and more reliable day in day out once I go into freelance work.

Thanks,
Joe :)

I'd suggest not buying yet, AMD are about to release their Zen 2 consumer CPUs that may well blow their earlier threadripper CPUs away.

A Geforce card is probably a better buy than a Quadro. Depends on the software and uses.
