USB Type A to USB Type C

Hi all & happy Easter.
I've recently ordered a new PC from PC Specialist but I've realized that the motherboard has no Type C USB connection and I wanted to get a Scarlett 2i2 audio interface which uses a type C usb connection, will this be an issue or can I just buy a type C to type A cable to fix the problem?

What have you ordered? Very unusual for a PC not to have usb c these days, but no, an adapter wouldn’t be suitable.

I really would t buy that for your uses, I’d get some advice on something more appropriate.

What’s wrong with your previous PC?

Well, I've all ready ordered it. I know the graphics card is over kill but I wanted to be able to play up to date games and use VR in the future. I've checked the specs of the motherboard on asus website and it does have usb gen 2 but are you still saying that an adapter wouldnt work for me and if so do you know if pc specialist will let me change the motherboard(order still processing)?

I would cancel the build entirely and get some advice, that’s not suitable for your needs. AMD would be much better for less money.
