Very happy with my new laptop

Cosmos, 15.6" screen, 32Gb RAM, i7-8750H processor, 500Gb SSD.

I bought this to replace an ageing (but still very much alive) DELL Latitude, which I had upgraded over the years. When I bought the DELL they offered loads of customisation options.

I researched DELL and other manufacturers, but could not find the level of customisation I expected. I can't remember how I hit on PC Specialist, but I'm glad I did because they had what I was looking for: as much customisation as anyone could ask for.

What don't I like about this laptop? Very little. It's quite anonymous-looking, especially compared to my HP Omen, which I like but you may not (I was happy with my Toyota Avensis, which friends mocked as a middle-aged man's car; this has a similar bland design).

A couple of other criticisms:
the fingerprint scanner is a bit hit-and-miss, and
the sound is not nice at all (though I usually use a cheap Behringer soundcard into powered monitors).

Neither of these would have been a deal-breaker had I known about them.

Much easier to list what I do like:
the customisation options available
the power and storage I got: good value for money
it's slim and lightweight
I was able to buy, for a fair price, a second power supply
nice screen
the keyboard is pleasantly backlit
the keyboard has a lovely action
the whole thing feels well put together.

The photos show the laptop and one gratuitous image of my tomcat who helped with this review by sitting on my keyboard. Any typos are his responsibility.
