HI, I recently bought a Vortex III, and I initially managed to get all the drivers installed, however a day or two ago the webcam stopped working. When I try and start BisonCam it said something like camera not connected. When I hit Fn+F10 it says it is turning off and on, but a message from windows comes up saying that the device is not recognised. I tried repairing the driver software, I tried downloading the latest version and using that, I also tried completely re-installing it. Nothing works. When I tried to install from the CD with the GUI interface, it says that you need to turn the camera on before installing - even though it is already on!
Does anyone know what model the webcam is so I could try downloading other driver software if it's out there?
I emailed pcspecialist about this, and they only really suggested re-installing Windows which I'd really not do now since I've spent a while getting it all set up, and all my files transferred. So if anyone here might know of another solution, it would be greatly appreciated! :tt1:
