First and foremost I'd like to thank PCspecialist for building and sending this beast of a machine! I'm not much of a computer or tech genius but one thing's for sure, I am a very, very happy customer. I transitioned from pc to mac 5-6 years ago and even back then the pc that I had was a crummy 13" Dell running on windows xp and it was horrible! I did get used to mac for a while but with the lack of computer games and the machine slowly deteriorating, I finally decided to purchase a powerful gaming laptop. I was considering to buy a 17" or perhaps an 18" laptop but then my friend referred me to pcspecialist and dear god, you guys are a godsend. Building the machine was not a hassle as at all, easy, fast and comprehensible. After I placed my order and payments accepted pcspecialist went straight to building it the day that followed. I had a few concerns about the build time and etc but pcspecialist reassured me and gave the right answers straight away, so thumbs up to the customer service department! The only agonizing part of this experience is waiting to get my hands on my laptop but a fast track option wasn't available for my build but that's very much understandable. Better safe than sorry.

On the day of the delivery, I tracked the courier from DPD (Scott) every 30 minutes checking where's he's been and where he's going. Tracking the courier via GPS is fantastic! You get to plan your day and expect the exact time of the package's arrival. When I say package, I meant a big ass box! Scott was very careful handling it and needed a little help carrying the box. The computer and the other bits I ordered were nicely and safely packaged and kept in place with a bunch of styrofoam. It's great to know a great deal of care was placed in this order. With all the concise manuals read, setting up the computer was easy and the boot time was so fast! It took my mac about 1min+ to boot up but this machine... blink, and you miss it. It's brilliant! Never had a laptop or desktop boot this fast before.

Seeing the chassis on pictures were great but to see it for real was awesome! The black aluminum finish was slick and the palm rest kept my hands cool and comfortable. Occasionally there are a few smudges here and there but you can clean it up easy with the cloth pcspecialst provided, a nice touch. The backlit keyboard is fun to customize. It's not alienware but I'll take it. The disc tray i though was a bit flimsy. It didn't look very sturdy :/

Performance wise, this thing is, like I said, BEASTLY! Running multiple windows were't a problem. Games like skyrim, planetside 2, tera and borderlands 2 loaded fast and maintained a good 50-70 fps even on ultra high settings thanks to the SSD and 780m graphics card. Playing them on high settings and for a good amount of time did made the fan turn for quite a bit but not to the point that it would annoy you (besides you'd be wearing gaming headsets so you'll barely hear them). The moment you quit the game, the fan reverted back to silent mode.

So far no major problems and I'm very happy with this machine. THANKS PCSPECIALIST!

Just makes me wish I had that amount of money to spend on my laptop. I would have gone for a Vortex IV aswell. Still, nothing wrong with my Optimus V :)

Glad it's all working well for you.

Seems like an awesome build! I'm still waiting for mine :( it's still in pre-production. My specs aren't too different from yours, but you definitely splashed out quite a bit more than me. My build is actually very similar to keynes', but a 15.6" Vortex IV.
