Votex 3 Wifi Speed

Hello,

I got a Vortex 3 with the upgrade 300bpm (intel centrino?)6230-N wifi card. The laptop was bought from PCS with an OS.

I get 1 mbps download speed on my old toshiba laptop but only 150kbps with this.

I updated the driver from feb-12 to march-12 on intels website.

Any idea why this is running slow?

Hi, a correction. Its the 6235-N card.

I tried all I could with my friend (works for Virgin media ISP) like safe mode and ping this n that. New drivers et al.

Basically ruled it could be the hardware and antenna.

Will try it on ethernet tonight. If speeds are normal then it will be safe to say its the adapter (it did travel 1000miles to be delivered).
