Hi there, got my vyper 3 yesterday and having issues. Any game I play the fps goes from 80+ down to 20fps and then shoots back up, this happens every couple seconds, all my drivers are updated etc, cinebench is giving me a score of 1735 which seems very low considering my specs. Listed below is my build. Also when trying to reinstall windows 10 I get an error saying: windows 10 installation failed in the safe_os phase during install_updates. And when I try and use the refresh tool I get an error saying: 0x80072f76-0x20016

How are you installing Windows 10? That error suggests that the install image you're using is corrupt.

Download a new copy of Windows 10 to a new USB drive and try a fully clean install (deleting existing partitions) again.

Also have another issue in where I cannot download any steam games from the store, as soon as I click on download it shows preparing to launch and then closes which is odd

Yeah I've done that and they advised to re-install windows and re-install the drivers but the issue has not been fixed, pretty disappointed to be honest
That's understandable but stuff happens. Give them another call.

Nobody there knew how to fix the issue so unfortunately it's all packed back into it's box ready to be RMA'd :(
That's a real shame and of course takes the shine off your shiny new purchase. I feel your disappointment.

The good news about PCS is that they respond quickly to issues like this and they will fix it.

If you'd bought from most other places you'd likely still be trying to convince them there was a problem....

I'm just glad I didn't wipe my old laptop so now I'm back on this without anything being lost which is good. But yeah they was very helpful in trying whatever solutions there may be without sending it in. Very odd issue though, in the benchmarks the gpu clock speed kept crashing down to around 300mhz every couple of seconds

It would be interesting to know what the issue was when you get it back if you don't mind?

Okay so I fixed the problem without having to send it back, you wouldn't believe what it was. So I opened the back of the laptop and guess what I found, a loose fan connector! so after attaching that back properly all of my issues fixed itself!!

A loose fan connector caused all that? That's incredible, but very many thanks for sharing. [emoji106]

Exactly that haha, ran all the benchmarks once I put it back in correctly and no fps drops, everything was stable and buttery smooth, I couldn't believe it!
